Of claps and slaps
Recently We have been conducting webinars for kids and they are being loved and appreciated. We are a team of five and me with another Lady stamp the contents. We approve, reject, seek clarifications and so on. I being senior in many ways and in a responsible position, sometimes have to put my foot down. I try to be judicious but at times, as it happens in any co ordinated works, there are frictions.
Yesterday was one such day where a team member not so happy confronted me. She is a very dear soul and I explained and diffused the situation the best way I could.
Later she was all praises for me on the personal chat and apologised.
The incident set me thinking and I am sharing my insight which I shared with her.
What we see in a person is only a tip of the iceberg. 90% of me remains under the surface. The patterns inside come out in the 10% part and set my behaviour, my responses and my actions and reactions.
So actually the praise or brickbat, the hurt, criticism etc. is directed at the tip of the iceberg only.
Then why should I be disturbed? I look at the incidents, as disturbances on the lake surface or the waves on the ocean. The circles on the surface do not touch the calm lake or the ocean floor, where I have anchored my self through MEDITATION by the GRACE OF DIVINE MASTER.
